I’m not afraid of heights per se, but standing high above the ground on an unstable surface can certainly be a workout for the adrenal system. Especially when you’re standing on a surface made from steel punched with little cut-outs that lead to a kind of flexing beneath your feet as the wind blows up your tail.
All the credit in the world to Denis for enabling this insanity on my behalf and to the immensely-talented Masoud Harati for the photographs. These are a few of many, and his work is excellent.
The arabesque in the first shot, meanwhile, isn’t the best best one I’ve ever done, as you can probably tell! But it is the only one I’ve done that scared the living daylights out of me.
Fantastic photos! And those are some cool tights!
Thank you and thank you! Denis found them on eBay 😀
I used to almost never wear them because they didn’t play well with German Track Racer Legs, but now that my body has decided it doesn’t actually need *that* much muscle for ballet, they’re also really comfortable.
