A Very Brief Public Service Announcement

Epi-con-DYYYYYYYYYYYYYLE

Only don’t be all swaybacked ‘n’ shizzle.

Ceci n’est pas un pun.

This last drawing turned out looking too much like just coupé arrière, but as you can probably tell, I was done effing around in S-Note by then.

In short, though, if your instructor shouts, “BACK OF THE KNEE!!!” when you’re firing off your pique turns, make sure you’re not the party poupé-er attaching your foot halfway between passé and coupé.

We now return to our regularly-scheduled Break Week.

About asher

Me in a nutshell: Standard uptight ballet boy. Trapeze junkie. Half-baked choreographer. Budding researcher. Transit cyclist. Terrible homemaker. Neuro-atypical. Fabulous. Married to a very patient man. Bachelor of Science in Psychology (2015). Proto-foodie, but lazy about it. Cat owner ... or, should I say, cat own-ee? ... dog lover. Equestrian.

  1. I laughed so hard at poupé! I gotta tell this to my teacher tonight, she’ll love it. We do poupés a lot and she keeps reprimanding us.
Also, nice drawings! I thought you were the king of bad MS Paint and didn’t realise you could *actually* draw. Though the last one bridges the gap a bit. 🙂

    • Thanks and thanks! I should mention the concept of “poupé” to BW (who inspired it) and Killer B, too. I think they’ll enjoy it 😀

I sound really get around to posting some of my serious visual art stuff 😀 Mostly I wind up using bad MSPain(t) things because A) I’m lazy and B) they make me laugh, but I’m fairly good at drawing, watercolors, and sculpture in real life. I don’t do much formal work right now, though.

      • That’s really cool! I like looking at people’s art, I hope you post more someday. I also like the concept of myself making art, but I’m neither particularly talented nor well-practiced, so I limit myself to buying expensive art supplies and never using them. D:
